Junior European Judo Cup kicks off in Hungary. National athletes closed the first day with 5 medals.

According to the statement made by the Turkish Judo Federation, national athletes won 2 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals on the first day of the organization, in which 133 female and 260 male judoka from 34 countries participated in the city of Paks.

Muhammed Demirel in men’s 66 kilos, Hilal Öztürk in women’s +78 kilos won gold, Fidan Ögel in women’s 70 kilos silver, and Habibe Afyonlu and Ayten Yeksan in 63 kilos won bronze medals.

Uluer Göç, who climbed the tatami in the men’s 60 kg category, came in 5th in his weight category.

In the cup, women’s 48 kilos Merve Azak, 52 kilos İlayda Merve Koçyiğit, 57 kilos Özlem Yıldız and Ayşenur Karadağ, men’s 81 kilos Musa Şimşek, 90 kilos Cem Ata Demirtaş, +100 kilos Halil İbrahim Özmen and Münir Ertuğ will compete on the tatami.
