Mike Tyson Slams Hulu For Producing Unauthorized Series About His Life

Mike Tyson has recently picked a very different kind of fight. The former heavyweight champion has come out to express his displeasure with Hulu and their parent company Disney.

Hulu is set to premiere “Mike” on August 25, a series about the life and career of Mike Tyson. However, Tyson himself is no supporter of this series.

He blasted the decision to greenlight the show over a year ago, calling it a “tone-deaf cultural misappropriation.”

Over the weekend, Tyson took his criticism further in a series of social media posts.

“Don’t let Hulu fool you. I don’t support their story about my life. It’s not 1822. It’s 2022. They stole my life story and didn’t pay me. To Hulu executives, I’m just a n—– they can sell on the auction block,” Tyson wrote on Twitter.

“Hulu tried to desperately pay my brother [UFC president] Dana White millions without offering me a dollar to promote their slave master take over story about my life. He turned it down because he honors friendship and treating people with dignity. I’ll never forget what he did for me just like I’ll never forget what Hulu stole from me.

“Hulu stole my story. They’re Goliath and I’m David. Heads will roll for this.

“Hulu is the streaming version of the slave master. They stole my story and didn’t pay me.

“Hulu’s model of stealing life rights of celebrities is egregiously greedy.

“Someone should get fired from Hulu. Producers were lying to my friends saying I supported the unauthorized series about my life.”
