Victory in France Max Verstappen

In the 12th leg of the Formula 1 World Championship, the French Grand Prix, Red Bull driver Max Verstappen of the Netherlands took the first place.

The 12th challenge of the season was held over 53 laps on the 5.8km Paul Ricard Circuit in the town of Le Castellet.

Ferrari team’s Monaco driver Charles Leclerc, who started the fight from the pole position, lost control of his car on the 18th lap of the race, which he took first place, and crashed into the barriers and was out of the race.

Verstappen, who took the first place with Leclerc’s exclusion, took advantage of this opportunity and finished the race in first place with the help of the right tire strategy. Reaching the seventh championship of the season with a time of 1.30.02.112 after a comfortable race, the Dutch pilot continued to lead by far in the pilots’ classification.

In the 300th F1 race of his career, Mercedes’ British driver Lewis Hamilton was second 10,587 seconds behind the leader, and his teammate and compatriot George Russell was third, 16,495 seconds behind the leader.

Drivers’ division leader Verstappen increased his score to 233. Leclerc is second with 170 points and Sergio Perez is third with 163 points.

The Hungarian Grand Prix, the 13th race of the season, will be held on 31 July.
